LGBTQ+ Therapy
Support that understands where you're coming from
Whether you're exploring your identity, dealing with shame or rejection, or simply looking for a therapist who gets it, LGBTQ+ therapy offers a space where you don’t have to explain the basics.
I’m a gay therapist based in Leeds, and I work with people across the LGBTQ+ spectrum on a wide range of issues — from self-esteem and anxiety to grief, loneliness and relationships. You're not "too sensitive", "too much", or "too complicated". You're human — and you deserve to feel at ease in your own skin.
What We Can Work On
People come to LGBTQ+ therapy for all sorts of reasons. Some of the themes I often work with include:
🌈 Identity exploration (sexuality, gender, labels — or none at all)
🧠 Anxiety, self-esteem and feeling "not enough"
💔 Family rejection, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia
🪞 Shame, internalised beliefs, or feeling “different”
❤️🩹 Breakups, relationships, and dating in LGBTQ+ contexts
🌪️ Loneliness, grief, or trauma
You don’t have to have a neat explanation for why you’re struggling. We can figure it out together.
Why See a Gay Therapist?
You don’t have to educate me or wonder if I’ll understand. Being part of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I bring both professional training and personal understanding to the work.
That doesn't mean therapy will be easy or comfortable all the time — but it will be real, safe, and respectful of who you are.
